Role Overview
The Group Head of Operations is responsible for the overall operational leadership and performance of the Group's service delivery functions, including Daily Cleaning, Industrial Cleaning, and Health & Safety across the Group companies.
The role acts as the principal operational leader of the organisation, ensuring that the Group's strategic objectives are translated into effective operational execution across all service divisions.
The role ensures consistently high service standards, operational excellence, strong client relationships, and sustainable commercial performance across the Group's client portfolio.
As a member of the Group Leadership Team, the role translates the Group's strategic objectives into effective operational execution, ensuring that systems, processes, people, and operational structures are aligned to support business growth, contract retention, and service expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Overall operational performance, service delivery standards, and operational efficiency across all Group service divisions.
Leadership of the Daily Cleaning, Industrial Cleaning, and Health & Safety functions.
Successful integration of operational structures, systems, and teams across Ailesbury and Samsic.
Operational financial performance and efficiency across all contracts.
Client service standards, satisfaction, and contract retention.
Operational risk management, compliance, and Health & Safety leadership.
Development of operational leadership capability and succession planning
Act as the senior operational leader within the organisation, providing strategic direction to operational divisions.
Participate actively as a member of the Group Leadership Team, contributing to the development and execution of the Group's strategic objectives.
Establish and maintain effective operational governance frameworks, ensuring accountability, consistency, and performance management across all divisions.
Promote a culture of operational excellence, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience
***** years' progressive experience in operations management, including senior leadership roles within the facilities services, contract services, or a comparable multi-site service environment.
Proven experience operating at senior management or director level, with responsibility for large operational teams and multi-site service delivery.
Demonstrated success in delivering operational excellence, service quality, and strong client satisfaction within a service-driven environment.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing operational budgets, labour utilisation, and contract profitability.
Experience managing Health & Safety systems, compliance frameworks, and operational risk management within the service industry.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level clients and key stakeholders.
Experience leading organisational change, operational transformation, or integration initiatives would be advantageous.
Other Features of the Role
This role requires flexibility in working hours to support operational requirements.
The role will involve occasional travel within Ireland (approximately 6 days per annum).
There will also be occasional travel within Europe (approximately 1–2 trips per annum).
