Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide Manufacturing Engineering support to both customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing support to the Production Team in terms of planning and designing new processes.
* Manufacturing prototypes and validation of product within specification with a view to upscaling to full product runs.
* Identifying and implementing improvements to equipment, processes and methods.
* Identifying and driving improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools and methods, as well as proficiency in CAD software for process or tooling design.
Requirements and Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
* Lean Six Sigma certification or training (Green Belt or higher) is advantageous, although not essential.
* Knowledge of ERP systems.
* At least 25 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role.
* Proven experience with process development, optimisation, and improvement initiatives.
* Experience in prototype manufacturing, testing, and validation.
* Familiarity with root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
* Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.
* Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Adaptability to support multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
* Continuous improvement mindset with initiative to identify and implement changes.
