Job Title: Sales & Events AssistantReports to: Director of Sales & Marketing at The Killarney Park and The RossJob Title: Sales & Events Assistant:Job Description: Last Updated: JOB SUMMARYThe Sales & Events Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the sales function and coordinating the operational delivery of internal and external events. This position provides essential administrative support to the sales team, assists with event coordination, and acts as a point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work under pressure.This is a property-based role and requires full on-site presence to effectively support the sales and events operations.The role can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the candidate's availability and business needs.THE CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate is a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong organisational and communication skills. They should be able to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external clients while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and attention to detail.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSales SupportProvide administrative support to the sales team, ensuring documents and reports are accurate and delivered on time.Assist with lead generation and qualification, enabling the sales team to focus on high-potential opportunities.Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and other client-facing materials.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.Manage incoming calls and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.Act as a point of contact for client enquiries, responding to questions and coordinating information as needed.Liaise with internal departments to ensure client needs are communicated and fulfilled effectively.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to support sales-related activities.Schedule and coordinate meetings for the sales team, including preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes.Support the Director of Sales and broader management team with ad hoc tasks as required.Event CoordinationManage private dining and event enquiries, preparing function sheets and ensuring accurate communication with operational teams.Coordinate smaller meetings and events from enquiry to execution, working closely with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery.Ensure all event details are captured accurately and shared appropriately with relevant teams.Liaise with clients throughout the event planning process, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.Support the operational team in ensuring client expectations are met during on-site events.Reporting & Data ManagementAssist with basic reporting on sales activity and event performance.Support in gathering and compiling data for internal use and analysis.Maintain and update client databases and internal documents.REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESPrevious relevant experience in the hospitality industry, specifically within hotels, is essentialStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExcellent organisational and time management abilitiesHigh attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectivelyProficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint (essential), Word, Excel, and OutlookPrior experience in events, sales coordination, or related roles within hospitalityFamiliarity with hotel event operations or function sheet systemsStrong interpersonal skills and a professional mannerAbility to work both independently and within a teamFlexible and adaptable approach to changing prioritiesCustomer-focused mindset with a solutions-driven attitudeDESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) SKILLSExperience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)Experience using Canva or similar design platformsJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeBenefits:Bike to work schemeEmployee discountOn-site parkingSick payWork Location: In person
