Job Title

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Professional to join our team.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of employees and visitors across various business areas. This includes supporting site safety in services and solutions businesses, ensuring compliance with current legal requirements and best practice, and promoting a positive safety culture.


Key Responsibilities

* To support services and solutions operations in implementing actions to deliver strategic health, safety and sustainability plans.
* Work with site management teams to advise, plan and implement actions to improve working environments and people's wellbeing on sites.
* Investigate and review all accidents, incidents and near misses.
* Recommend improvement actions and record them.
* Ensure that all suppliers and subcontractors are properly assessed before inclusion on the approved list and regular reviews take place with all subcontractors.
* Support and assist in creating and providing training related to environment, health and safety.
* Support the completion of risk assessments and POWRA and assist line managers in creating them in specific risk areas.
* Ensure all employees and subcontractors are following procedures and working according to RAMS.
* Arrange and carry out audits and HSE inspections at customer sites and offices.
* Make recommendations arising from inspections and monitor implementation.
* Coordinate customer audit requirements.
* Support OHSAS 18001, ISO14001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001 and ISO 39001 within the organisation.


Requirements

* You must have a NEBOSH Certificate, Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent.
* Safe pass.
* Minimum 3 years' experience within a similar role in a construction or services organisation where CDM is paramount.
* You need to be computer literate in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Intranet (also ideally experience of SAP/other databases).
* This position requires that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* You need to be able to do presentations to the senior management level internally and externally.
