The APICOM Maintenance Technician position will support the API manufactures to meet the required business demands (kgs, timings and scale-up learning).Plant Maintenance EngineerLocation: Dublin, IrelandCompetitive Salary and BonusAccountabilitiesInitially, the APICOM Plant Process Engineer will be part of a cross functional team providing project technical support to ensure the design of the new APICOM facility is safe, efficient, and long-term operability is factored in. They will ensure that best maintenance practice are utilized in all equipment setup, including but not limited to functional location creation, development of maintenance job plan content, generation maintenance related procedures, spares part identification, and service level agreement establishment.Longer term, the APICOM Plant Process Engineer will be responsible for, playing a lead role in the Engineering and Maintenance team, by becoming a technical equipment expert for their areas under their remit, organizing and managing service providers, supporting the Maintenance manager/technicians in the day to day management by acting as front line support on effective and efficient maintenance of all Process, Utilities, Facilities and Tank Farm equipment including machine troubleshooting, investigations of major breakdowns and technical improvement activities while meeting regulatory, quality (GMP) and safety (SHE) requirements.Also, APICOM Plant Process Engineer is responsible for the development of continuous improvement plans for their area of responsibility in order to maximize availability, quality, throughput and cost effectiveness, by employing digital tools and operational excellence tools to provide continuous improvement to equipment reliability, liaising with other AZ sites to share best practice and learning, taking ownership of the Maintenance Appraisal Process for equipment in their area and completion of Failure Mode Effective Analysis on high criticality equipment. Assist with implementation of operational excellence programs such as Total Productive Maintenance and 5S.This position requires both a strong technical background in Engineering and Maintenance and the capability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.Essential Skills/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or a relevant technical qualification (HND etc) in EngineeringPrevious experience in Process/Utilities/ Facilities, Maintenance or/& project experience including Reactors, HVAC, Purified water, Clean Steam, Process abatement systems within the pharmaceutical industry.Experience with CMMS such as Infor/SAP/MaximoExperience in leading and delivering Reliability initiatives, Change Control and Change Management.Proven teamwork and leadership skills, with strong communication and organisational skills.Problem solving experience and skills.Technical and/or engineering capabilitiesData driven to evaluate process performance for the purpose of problem solving and optimization.API Pharmaceutical manufacturing awarenessGMP awarenessGood understanding of process safetyKnowledge with SILs and SIFsDesirable Skills/Experience5 years + industrial supervision/project management experience in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical, Process or Plant Engineering ideally within the Pharmaceutical Industry.Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques training (5S, Lean RCM etc.,) an advantageExperience in Operational Excellence at Green Belt level would be an advantage.At AstraZeneca, we are breaking new ground and leaving a collective legacy.
