Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Structural Design Engineer, based in Sligo with opportunities for partial remote work. The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for conducting structural analysis, preparing detailed designs, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Additional responsibilities include working with computer-aided design (CAD) tools, collaborating with team members, and contributing to sustainable and efficient engineering solutions. The role involves close coordination with clients and diverse internal teams to meet project objectives and deadlines.
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering principles
Proficiency in Tekla Design Software, Tedds, Structural Designer Fasttrack Portal Frame
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and AutoCAD
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills relevant to engineering design
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Monitoring works on site and attending site meetings
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
Experience in sustainable design and development practices is an advantage
Chartered Engineer (or progression towards it) is desirable
