Job Title
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Manager to oversee the development and implementation of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, and standards. This role will work collaboratively with business and technology teams to ensure accountability for data quality and compliance with global regulatory requirements.
About the Role
* This is a key position within our organization, responsible for defining and maintaining metadata standards, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, tools, and methodologies, as well as experience in data management or a related field.
Familiarity with data management tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or similar is highly desirable. In addition, knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting data is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
* Maintain metadata standards, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
* Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify data owners and stewards.
Oversee compliance with global regulatory requirements, including GDPR and BCBS 239.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Familiarity with data management tools, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are also required.
