Job Description
Empower is a local development company working across Fingal. We are state‑funded and responsible for a range of programmes that meet the needs of individuals, families and community groups in County Fingal. We deliver services across Fingal in the areas of Community Development, Health and Wellbeing, Training & Employment, and Child & Family services. We are currently recruiting for the following position: Head of Finance & Operations.
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic leader to the critical position of Head of Finance and Operations. This is a senior position, working closely with the Chief Executive and the Board of Directors. The Head of Finance and Operations will be a key player in ensuring that Empower has the financial and operational stability to continue our vital work in promoting our programme and services. Responsibilities include managing and overseeing the financial health of Empower, ensuring strong governance, compliance with financial regulations, and operational efficiency. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on management of financial reporting, budgeting, contract management and daily operations. You will directly manage a small team and have broad influence across the organisation. This is a permanent contract subject to funding.
