As a Database SRE (DBA), you'll be the backbone of our database operations, ensuring peak performance, availability and security.
Your responsibilities will include: - Installing, configuring and maintaining DBMS like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Monitoring database performance and implementing optimisation strategies.
- Guaranteeing data integrity and availability through robust backup and recovery plans.
- Collaborating with development teams to refine database schemas and queries.
- Maintaining documentation on configurations and best practises.
We're looking for candidates who possess: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of DBMS and proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with database security practises and compliance standards.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
