Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1
The successful candidate will provide research support in ruminant livestock production and methane emissions, focusing on the environmental impact of grazing beef cattle.
* Measure and analyze methane emissions data and rumen fermentation variables to optimize beef production systems.
* Oversee the management of the beef production systems and the UCD Long-term grazing platform.
* Contribute to animal husbandry and handling tasks to ensure animal welfare.
This project aims to investigate the effects of diverse swards on methane emissions from grazing beef cattle, including developing methane emissions factors.
