About the Role
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Yard staff to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping our yard organised, clean, and safe, while assisting in the handling, sorting, and movement of waste and recyclable materials. You will play a key part in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Load, unload, and move skips, bins, and waste materials within the yard.
* Assist with sorting waste and recyclable materials according to company procedures.
* Operate yard machinery and equipment (e.g., forklifts, telehandlers) safely and efficiently, if trained and certified.
* Maintain a clean and organised yard, ensuring walkways and work areas are free from hazards.
* Assist drivers with vehicle loading/unloading and site preparation.
* Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment and report any defects.
* Follow all company health & safety procedures, wearing the required PPE at all times.
* Support other yard or operational tasks as required by management.
Skills & Requirements
* Previous experience in a yard, construction, or waste management environment (desirable but not essential).
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
* Basic understanding of health & safety regulations.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
* JCB or Telehandler licence is an advantage.
Working Hours
Monday–Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturday work
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €120.00 per day
