We are currently seeking a person to act as the Designated Person for Investment Management Oversight (PCF-39D) and Designated Person for Distribution (PCF-39E), subject to Central Bank of Ireland approval.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and supervision of delegated investment management and distribution activities in respect of WisdomTree's Irish-domiciled funds and issuers, in accordance with Central Bank of Ireland requirements (including CP86), UCITS delegation framework and WisdomTree's governance, delegation, and oversight arrangements.
Key Accountabilities and ScopeMaintain primary responsibility for the oversight of all delegated investment management arrangementsConduct regular and structured engagement with delegated investment managers, including oversight meetings and calls and review of investment, risk, and compliance reportingAssess adherence to investment objectives and mandates, investment and risk limits and prospectus and regulatory requirementsEnsure that issues, breaches, or concerns are identified promptly, escalated appropriately and tracked to resolution
Oversight of Delegated DistributorsMaintain primary responsibility for the oversight of delegated distribution arrangementsOversee distribution activities conducted by appointed distributorsEnsure distribution arrangements operate in line with MiFID II product governance requirements, target market determinations, prospectus and regulatory disclosures and ESMA Guidelines on Marketing Communications
Product Governance & ControlsOversee the implementation and ongoing operation of WisdomTree's product governance frameworkMonitor distributor compliance with target market requirements, appropriateness of distribution channels and controls around inducements, conflicts, and conduct risk (where applicable)Review distributor reporting and escalate any distribution-related concerns or issues
Reporting & EscalationProduce documented oversight reports evidencing reviews performed, findings, and follow-up actionsReport to internal governance forums and the Board of Directors, as requiredMaintain appropriate management information (MI) to support effective oversight and challengEscalate material issues to senior management and the Board in a timely manner
Delegation, Due Diligence & Change ManagementSupport the appointment and onboarding of new investment managers and distributorsPerform and oversee initial and ongoing due diligence reviewsContribute to the drafting, review, and maintenance of delegation agreements, distribution agreements, service level agreements, policies and procedures, prospectus and supplement disclosuresSupport regulatory notifications and filings relating to delegation, distribution and material changes
Regulatory & Governance ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with CP86 Designated Person obligations, UCITS delegation requirements and MiFID II product governance rules (as applicable to distribution oversight)Act as a key point of contact with the Central Bank of Ireland on matters relating to investment management oversight and distribution oversightSupport regulatory inspections, reviews, and ongoing supervisory engagementContribute to the continuous enhancement of WisdomTree's governance and oversight framework
Skills and QualificationsMinimum 6+ years' experience in the asset management or funds industryStrong understanding of delegated investment management models, distribution and product governance frameworks and UCITS / MiFID II regulatory requirementsExperience engaging with investment managers, distributors and senior management and boards Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline and/or A recognised professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to exercise independent and effective challengeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbility to manage multiple oversight responsibilities within a regulated environmentSound professional judgement aligned with regulatory expectationsProactive, accountable, and governance-focused mindset
