The Blackrock Health Galway Clinic is looking for an energic and enthusiastic individual to join its IT technical Team. The primary purpose of the role is to provide 1st and 2nd level IT Support to the Galway Clinic personnel on Hardware and Software Applications in use in the Clinic. This is a fast-paced role which requires hands-on experience dealing with customer queries and issues. This role will require you to be able to perform tasks independently while relying on the support from the rest of the team as required. 37 hours per week + out of hours on call support every 7 weeks Main Duties & Responsibilities: Call Management Activities Manning of the IT Service Desk telephone line Logging details of incidents and requests for services into the Service Desk system. Correctly capturing the data required to determine issue severity and troubleshooting Monitoring Service Desk work queue for automatically logged calls from users self-service module Assigning calls as appropriate to 2nd level support IT Support Activities Hardware Support: Hardware Support of PC, thin clients and mobile carts Peripheral support including mice, keyboards, screens, e-pads, scanners and local printers Troubleshoot network connectivity issues Support patient entertainment system Support end user phones in the absence of the Telecoms Engineer Software Support: User account management in Active Directory. VMware VDI desktops management. Software support of Microsoft Office. Local Application and Third Party Support (training will be provided). Support of Outlook mailboxes including shared calendars, saved .PST and archived emails. Installation and upgrade of specific software packages throughout the clinic. Printer Support: Evaluation of printer issues that should arise throughout the Galway Clinic. Log and escalate calls if necessary. Assist in setup of new printers and selection of a default printer for existing users per need. Conference and Meeting Support: Setup and support of laptops and projectors for meetings that occur in hours. Project Activities Assisting on IT Projects as necessary Supporting senior analysts on project activities Competencies/skills: Technical Competencies Good all round IT Knowledge and a good grounding in IT Hardware, Software and networking Excellent PC support and trouble shooting skills Excellent customer support and work prioritisation skills Non-Technical Competencies oHands-on experience required oAn enthusiastic, flexible & innovative approach to work oExcellent communication and customer service skills oBe focused on quality and attention to detail oOpen to learning new skills Closing Date for applications: Monday 22nd September Blackrock Health at the Galway Clinic is an equal opportunities employer.
