Role Description
This temporary on-site role, based in Greater Dublin, involves working as a Setting Out Engineer. Daily responsibilities include interpreting project designs, setting out and surveying construction sites, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. The engineer will collaborate with project teams, provide technical guidance on-site, and produce detailed reports on progress and measurements. Effective communication with stakeholders and adherence to safety standards are integral to the role.
Qualifications
* Proficient in surveying and setting out with tools such as total stations, GPS systems, and other geospatial technology.
* Strong capability in reading and interpreting technical plans, drawings, and project documentation.
* Knowledge of construction and engineering standards to ensure compliance and precision in all projects.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with construction, engineering, and project management teams.
* Ability to identify and resolve site issues, ensuring project deadlines are met with minimal disruptions.
* Attention to detail and time-management skills for accurate reporting and efficient task completion.
* Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field, with experience in similar roles.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
* Experience with topographical surveys and producing as-built drawings is an advantage.
