Job Title : Accessibility Analyst (Digital, Accessibility & Support Services)
NOTES :
* You need to have a valid work permit for Ireland for this role. As it is a contract role it will not work permit sponsorship

Background
Digital, Information and Support Services is an important role that will be at the forefront of assessing compliance of ECS providers obligations under the EAA Regulations. This person will be required to work across the Retail Division and other divisions of a technology client, where relevant, to ensure that accessibility requirements under the EAA Regulations related to digital accessibility, support services and information provision as well as end measures for end-users with disabilities provided for in the European Electronic communication Codes are implemented, communicated, monitored and enforced,
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct the monitoring of websites, mobile apps, electronic information and support services with the EAA Regulations accessibility requirements, as specified in the harmonised accessibility standards.
* Manage and oversee specialist providers of accessibility monitoring services
* Provide analysis of the findings of monitoring activities
* Provide technical advice on possible instances of non-compliance and screen complaints received by client's customer care team
* Assess the technical merits of provider submissions on fundamental alteration and/or disproportionate burden.
* Enhance the implementation of the EAA Regulations through communication with other competent authorities and participation at national and international conferences and events
* Have or develop an understanding of the lived experience of persons with disabilities in using electronic communication services through engagement with relevant disabled persons organisations
* Contribute to the development of harmonised accessibility standards through participation in standards committees at both national and European level
* Coordinate and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications and Experience
* An Honours degree, third level qualification or significant relevant experience, in law, science, technology, engineering, business or another equivalent area/s;
* Experience of national and/or international engagement within the Digital Infrastructure eco-system or alternatively within a regulatory environment;
* Strong stakeholder management skills within an accessibility or regulatory environment;
* Skilled analyst with the ability to understand and express views clearly within a multi-disciplinary environment with regard to policy and/or legislation;
* Experience providing advice and briefings to managers, senior manager on relevant engagement related matters;
* Knowledge of accessibility or accessibility regulation
* Experience of participation in working groups with multiple stakeholders
* Hands on experience of managing or conducting accessibility or usability reviews of digital products such as websites or mobile apps
* Knowledge of EAA or Web Accessibility Directive regulations or other accessibility legislation.
* Good understanding of accessibility standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, EN 301 549 ICT accessibility requirements for products and services
