Department
The IT Planning Department (IPD) oversees IT strategy, investment planning, cybersecurity alignment, digital transformation, governance, and risk management. The department ensures technology investments, digital initiatives, and governance practices support the organisation's strategic objectives.
Role Overview
The Digital Transformation Manager, leads strategic IT planning, digital transformation governance, and risk oversight. The role ensures IT investments, cybersecurity priorities, and digital initiatives are aligned with business needs while promoting strong governance, cost transparency, and continuous improvement across IT.
Core Responsibilities
1. Lead the annual IT investment planning and budget development aligned to the IT Roadmap and organisational strategy.
2. Analyse IT costs, monitor Actual vs Planned spend, identify optimisation opportunities and provide regular budget and financial reporting.
3. Oversee IT procurement and financial operations, including the processing and governance of purchase orders, vendor invoices and contract related approvals.
4. Maintain system security risk standards and track mitigation actions.
5. Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures.
6. Support IT resource and organisational planning.
7. Coordinate the Technology Steering Forum and contribute to the IT Committee.
8. Support IT GRC activities, including audits, risk documentation, and control effectiveness.
9. Manage system deployment/change control processes and approvals.
10. Drive system quality improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
11. Lead digitisation initiatives and act as the central point of contact for digitisation discussions, enquiries and opportunities across the organisation.
12. Maintain IT, Cybersecurity, and Digital Strategy and oversee the IT Roadmap.
13. Support programme‑level oversight and support project management governance.
Essential Key Requirements
1. Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management and cybersecurity frameworks.
2. Demonstrated experience in IT budgeting, financial management, roadmap planning, and programme oversight.
3. Experience delivering and supporting digital transformation initiatives using technologies such as AI, RPA, End-User Computing (EUC) and Digital Workflows.
4. Familiarity with project and change management methodologies.
5. Hands-on experience designing and delivering digitisation solutions using Microsoft 365 platform.
