About the Role
Salesforce is looking for several Pre‑Sales Solution Engineers to join our dedicated Informatica Pre‑Sales Solution Engineering team. As a Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer, you will provide technical sales partnership to our sales teams, align our solutions to our customers’ vision, and support the sales cycle through discovery qualification, product demonstrations, proof of concepts, technical workshops, and architectural recommendations. You will act as a technical bridge between the technical solution and the business outcomes for the customer.
Responsibilities
Perform all activities leading up to the delivery of a customer demo, including discovery, technical qualification/fit, customer presentations, standard demos, and related customer‑facing communication.
Respond to Request for Information/Proposal documents.
Manage customer engagements independently.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to continuously improve Informatica’s products and marketing.
Share best practices, content, and tips within the primary area of responsibility.
Maintain current certifications for services required in the area of responsibility.
Partner with the CSM team on nurture activities, including technical advisory workshops.
Provide customer feedback on product gaps using Vivun.
Support demos at marketing events without additional support.
Qualifications
Minimum 4‑8 years of experience in data integration, master data management, or data governance.
More than 5 years of presales/technical sales, industry, or consulting experience.
Basic technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, data warehousing, databases, and/or business intelligence concepts and products.
Experience with at least one Informatica‑related software platform/technology.
Storytelling ability and experience establishing communication and engaging prospects in specific use cases.
Experience building relationships with influencers, coaches, decision makers, and partners.
Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%) and work flexible hours.
Basic knowledge of top three cloud ecosystems and top two data‑related technologies is highly preferred.
Basic knowledge of cloud computing security aspects is highly preferred.
Certification on at least one cloud ecosystem and one data‑related cloud technology at the required level.
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required; experience will be evaluated based on core competencies such as leadership, military, volunteer, or work experience.
