Production Manager
Job Summary:
Oversees all molding operations, establishing standards of performance and measuring results to drive continuous improvement.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
* Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures/policies, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
* Ensure customer requirements are met by reviewing and approving labor management.
* Understand all products and quality specifications of active products, establishing and monitoring plant performance through goal-setting and metric tracking.
* Develop and communicate plans to reduce scrap, ensuring duties are defined, communicated, and met by direct reports.
* Review and approve all performance evaluations, as well as investigate accident reports to ensure compliance with PM Management activities.
* Verify accuracy of RM, WIP, and FG inventories, while upholding fair and consistent treatment of all employees in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Implement and uphold the Quality System ISO 13485, ensuring GMP compliance, product quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards ISO 14001.
* Drive technical and operational enhancements, managing production facility performance, including resourcing, manpower, and efficiency.
* Monitor production data (e.g. downtime, waste, non-conformances) and implement solutions, driving a culture of safety and innovation.
* Liaise with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve customer satisfaction, driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
* Lead and performance manage direct report(s), proactively participating in Performance Management to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
* At least 5 years' experience in an Injection Moulding Medical Device manufacturing facility and general manufacturing operations in a similar high-volume production role.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to analyse performance data and present actionable insights.
* The ability to collaborate with all levels of the business.
* A results-driven approach with a knack for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
* BSc in Engineering or equivalent in a related technical discipline; a third-level qualification is desirable, but experience and passion matter most.
