Are you a family medicine specialist (GP specialist) looking for a professional setting where you can spend more time with patients, work in a well-organized healthcare system and still have room for life outside work?
We are now recruiting family medicine specialists to permanent positions across Norway. Most roles are located outside the largest cities, offering well-organized primary care services, close collaboration with colleagues and working conditions that allow for a sustainable pace over time.
About the role
As a family medicine specialist in Norway, you will work in primary care with patients of all ages, managing a broad spectrum of general medical cases. The work includes consultations, diagnostics, treatment, follow-up, and coordination with other healthcare services.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that typically includes nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, psychologists and health secretaries. Norwegian primary care emphasizes continuity, quality, and patient-centered medicine – with realistic patient lists and predictable working hours.
Many positions are based in district municipalities, where general practitioners play a key role in the local healthcare system and are highly valued both professionally and socially.

* Predictable daytime work and good work-life balance
* Well-functioning primary care services with digital tools and support staff
