Job Description
Egis Ireland is seeking Geotechnical Design Engineers at all levels to join our growing team.
You will deliver high-quality geotechnical solutions across transport, energy and environmental development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct geotechnical analysis and design for roads, rail, bridges, tunnels and other infrastructure projects.
Perform ground investigations, site assessments and soil-structure interaction studies.
Develop geotechnical reports, risk assessments and foundation design solutions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Use geotechnical software (Plaxis, Slope/W, GeoStudio) to support design work.
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and safety regulations.
Senior Engineers lead projects, mentor junior staff and provide technical expertise.
Qualifications
Junior Level: 0–3 years of experience with a degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
Intermediate Level: 3–7 years of experience with strong design and analysis skills.
Senior Level: 7+ years of experience, with leadership and project management abilities.
Proficiency in geotechnical design software and knowledge of Eurocodes.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Chartered status (or working towards it) desirable for Intermediate/Senior roles.
