Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Centre Capacity Delivery (DCCD) offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to join our Graduate Data Centre Project Engineer (GDCPE) program. This program is designed to develop your skills and expertise in all aspects of data centre construction delivery and operations.
The successful applicants will complete a two-year rotational curriculum, shadowing AWS field experts, and will receive coaching and on-the-job training to ensure success in the role. The program aims to provide understanding of AWS DCCD business, its delivery and operational facets, and to help explore career paths within AWS.
Key job responsibilities
You will gain hands-on experience across various aspects of the Data Centre engineering environment, working with the four key teams: Construction, Commissioning, Critical Project Implementation, and Controls.
You will work across and travel between live data centres, AWS headquarters, and construction sites. You will interact with deployment teams and supporting departments like Design Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Procurement.
Key activities and duties include:
* Projects Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects, utilize data and analytics to monitor KPIs, create reports and dashboards.
* Project Management: Lead or contribute to data centre delivery projects, support site management, track progress, and implement process improvements.
* Leadership Development: Participate in leadership opportunities, take ownership of tasks, and demonstrate leadership potential.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Graduated less than 24 months ago or about to complete a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Construction, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data-driven decision-making ability.
* Adaptability and willingness to take on diverse roles and challenges.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Leadership potential demonstrated through projects, internships, or extracurriculars.
* Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
* Experience reading construction specifications and drawings.
* Knowledge of data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, or similar.
