We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our ladies' clothing boutique, overseeing the day-to-day operations across two store locations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a genuine passion for fashion, strong organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. The role will be primarily based in our Ballybunion store, with travel to our Castleisland location, so flexibility is essential.
You will take full ownership of the smooth running of the stores, acting as a keyholder and leading by example on the shop floor. Responsibilities will include staff management, rostering, and maintaining positive staff relations while fostering a supportive, professional, and upbeat working environment. You will be a people person and delivering exceptional customer service will be at the heart of everything you do, ensuring consistently high standards and memorable customer experiences.
Merchandising will be a core element of the role. You will be responsible for stock presentation, visual merchandising, window displays, and pricing, ensuring the shop floor is visually appealing, on-trend, and commercially effective at all times. A proactive and sales-driven mindset is important, with the ability to identify opportunities to increase sales and support the continued growth of the business.
As the business also operates an online store, strong computer skills are required. You will be involved in packing and dispatching online orders, managing online stock systems, and supporting the seamless integration between in-store and online sales. An interest in social media is a distinct advantage, particularly if you enjoy contributing ideas to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement online.
You will work closely with the business owner during the onboarding period and on an ongoing basis, gaining a thorough understanding of store procedures, brand standards, and operational systems. This collaborative approach provides full support while also offering the opportunity to contribute ideas and play an active role in the long-term success of the business.
This is a year-round position, and while the business is seasonal, flexibility and adaptability are essential. We are open to considering both full-time and part-time applicants, as finding the right fit for our team is our priority.
Experience Required:
* Minimum of one years' experience in a retail management position
* Proven experience managing and motivating a team
* Strong merchandising and visual presentation skills
* Basic HR experience including rostering
* Excellent computer skills and confidence using stock systems
* Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high standards of service
* An interest in social media and online retail
* Ability to fit in with and positively contribute to an existing team environment
