Director of Strategic Development Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to take on the role of Director, driving strategic development and leading a multi-disciplined team to deliver excellence in semiconductor research, industrial innovation, and talent development.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and nurturing the development of a collaboration platform, providing service and support to the entire semiconductor industry in Ireland. This will involve building relationships with key stakeholders, managing operational staff, and steering the production of business plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing and implementing strategic activities and business plans for the Competence Centre.
* Attracting and recruiting operational staff to set up and manage the operation of the Centre.
* Effective management of Centre activity and building client relationships to drive growth.
* Providing leadership and expertise to ensure resources, procedures, and systems are in place to meet Centre objectives.
* Accountability for operational and financial control, efficiency, and productivity of the Centre.
* Ensuring progress against key performance indicators and reporting on performance.
* Developing the Centre as an internationally recognised competence centre of excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, typically with 10 years' experience in team development and management in the semiconductor sector or other high-tech sectors. They should also have experience in financial management, KPI delivery, business development, and R&D contracts.
