Position Title: Director, Finance - Accounting

Gilead is seeking a dynamic leader to lead its Collaborations Accounting team.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Lead the end-to-end collaborations accounting, reporting, and forecasting process
2. Review new collaboration/alliance agreements and manage relevant financial activities (e.g., accounting, reporting, and payments related to milestones, cost share, royalties, and other contractual rights and obligations)
3. Produce management reporting and business insights for senior leadership and stakeholders
4. Work closely with Alliance Management, Corporate Development, FP&A, and other internal/external partners
5. Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in collaborations accounting operations
6. Lead and develop a high-performing, inclusive, and diverse team
7. Coordinate and manage internal and external audits and reviews
8. Support other company and CFO organization initiatives and projects
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
Required skills and experience include:
1. BA/BS degree and extensive relevant experience in a similar role
2. Experience in team development and management
3. Strong analytical and communication skills
4. Attention to detail, organized, and thorough
5. Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
6. Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
7. Experience with systems like Alliant, Oracle/SAP, Hyperion (preferred)
8. CA or MBA with operational experience in collaboration and alliance arrangements (preferred)
9. Experience in a Life Sciences company is a plus
