The successful candidate will be based in our Dublin officeWhat are the minimum requirements you need for the role?5+ years' work experience, preferably within a management companyThird level qualification (or equivalent), preferably in Economics or Finance subjectsGood computer skills, ideally with some knowledge of risk management systems (e.g. MSCI Risk Metrics) for investment fundsSelf-motivated with aspirations to earn professional qualifications, ideally working towards CFA, FRM or similar designations.What is your role and responsibilities?Onboarding of new UCITS and AIF funds onto our Irish and Luxembourg management companies, working closely with the Onboarding, Portfolio Management, Risk and Valuation teams.Drafting risk and valuation policies and procedures for each new fund launch.Analysing and gaining a thorough understanding of the investment strategy of new funds to ensure compliance with UCITS and AIF regulations.Contribute during client meetings to assist them set up new funds in line with relevant regulations and Carne policies.Respond promptly to any material risk issues that arise at client funds by escalating it to the appropriate authority within the company.Support the Risk and Valuation teams in the onboarding of new investment funds and new investment managers by drafting the relevant documentation (such as RMP, Liquidity Stress Testing Policy, Valuation Policy and Risk Profile) and contributing to any other investment manager due diligence and agreements that requires input from the Risk Onboarding team.Quickly understand and adapt to regulatory updates (e.g. SFDR, ELTIF 2, and AIFMD 2.0) and ensure clients are compliant from the outset.Work on interesting projects and ad hoc requests from clients, colleagues and regulators.Support the development of Carne's proprietary system, Curator, with respect to Risk Analytics and due diligence questionnaires.What competencies do you require?Self-motivated and capable of meeting internal and external client needs in a quick-paced working environment.Energetic team player who is willing to help and support colleagues.Solutions-based and resourceful, bringing proposals along with questions.Good communication, detail-oriented, creative, and analytic skills.Who is Carne Group?Carne Group has established itself in the funds industry with $2tn in AUM supported by 600+ staff and four regulated management companies.
