Job Title: Social Care Worker – Children’s Residential Care
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Social Care Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care for children in residential care.
Due to expansion, we are recruiting for our new service in Roscommon just 10 minutes outside of Carrick On Shannon and 35 minutes from Sligo.

Responsibilities
* Providing direct care and support to children in residential care.
* Building strong relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders
* Creating a safe and nurturing environment for children
* Encouraging and supporting children to achieve their goals and aspirations
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on each child’s progress
* Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of care plans
* Ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in social care or equivalent. (Social Care Level 7/8, Level 8 in Psychology Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Level 7 in Counselling Professional qualification in: Youth and Community Work Social Work Social Sciences Teaching; Nursing Addiction studies where appropriate)
* Level 5/6 in Social Care
* Experience working with children in residential care. (Preferential but not essential)
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
* A commitment to the welfare and protection of children
