This is a senior, strategic role with responsibility for procurement planning, supply chain management, and cost control, particularly formaterials and subcontract hire not supplied by subcontractors.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery teams and ensuring best value, quality, and programme certainty across all procurement packages.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and company objectivesManage the procurement of materials and plant/subcontract hire packages not included within subcontractor scopesLead supplier and vendor selection, negotiation, and contract award processesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and hire companiesEnsure procurement activities align with project programmes, budgets, and quality standardsMonitor market trends, pricing, and availability to mitigate supply chain riskWork closely with commercial, design, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycleEnsure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and health & safety standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement functionCandidate RequirementsMinimum 10 years' experience in procurement with a main contractorStrong background in the construction industry, ideally within design and build environmentsProven experience procuring materials and managing subcontract/plant hireExcellent negotiation, commercial, and supplier management skillsStrong understanding of construction programmes, cost control, and supply chain riskAbility to operate at both strategic and operational levelsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat's on OfferSalary €85,000 – €90,000, depending on experienceComprehensive package, including pension, bonus, and additional benefitsExcellent long-term career prospects with a stable and growing contractorPrime location in Swords, North Dublin, with excellent accessibilityOpportunity to work on high-profile design and build projects
