For more information visit. The Role: We are now seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site technical team supporting a biologics manufacturing facility in Cork. This role reports to the Maintenance Operations Manager and is responsible for maintaining a wide range of process, utility and facility systems in a GMP-compliant environment. The Maintenance Technician will work as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team supporting production, quality and facilities operations. Responsibilities: Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on process, utility and facility equipment in line with cGMP, safety requirements, SOPs and best maintenance practices Troubleshoot equipment issues and execute effective corrective actions to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance. Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to identify the root causes of equipment issues and drive continuous improvement. Coordinate external vendor activities, ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures and regulatory expectations. Participate in problem-solving investigations, including root cause analysis, when equipment failures impact performance, quality or safety. Ensure electrical, mechanical and utility systems remain in a controlled and compliant state at all times. Promote a safe working environment by identifying risks, escalating issues and supporting safety initiatives. Record all maintenance activities using the site's CMMS and complete all required GMP documentation to the required standard. Respond to critical alarms from site utilities and facilities systems. Complete calibration tasks where required and escalate equipment defects for review. Support the effective management of spare parts, consumables and contractor services. Work within the site permit-to-work system and contribute to HAZOPs, risk assessments and design reviews as required. Qualifications: A relevant engineering qualification or a time-served apprenticeship. At least three years' experience in a GMP or regulated manufacturing environment. Experience supporting biologics, pharmaceutical, fill-finish, packaging or similar operations is an advantage. Why Join Catalyx? At Catalyx we understand that our people are our greatest asset.
