About the Job:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of groundworkers in a high-visibility road alignment project. As Civils Groundworks Team Lead, you will oversee the planning and execution of civil engineering works, ensuring compliance with safety standards and programme targets.
The project involves approximately 400 meters of road realignment, new bus stop construction, and multiple utilities interfaces. You will be responsible for managing permits, excavations, underground service investigations, and temporary works awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead daily Toolbox Talks to enforce RAMS compliance across all groundworks activities
2. Evaluate Temporary Traffic Management setups against SLG standards
3. Maintain segregation and safe public movement in live campus/road environments
4. Supervise direct labour teams across excavation & formation sub-base installation kerbing edgings footpaths drainage ducting chambers gullies road alignment tie-ins surfacing interfaces bus stop construction hardstand shelter foundation ducting ensure work aligns with programme targets meets Tier quality expectations over utility diversions protection installs manage trial holes LUS/CAT Genny checks service protection collaborate utility providers sequence works meet available utility windows minimize disruption confirm ITP inspections testing as-built documentation maintain detailed diaries progress photos test records redline drawings liaise Engineer level checks QA handover readiness provide two-week look-ahead planning material calloffs resource scheduling track labor productivity flag issues record change events delays constraints support commercial reporting experience urban roads utilities kerbing pathways drainage traffic coordination ability manage subcontractors direct labor efficiently
