Material Planner Cpl in partnership with Pfizer Location: Newbridge Site Contract: 11-month Fixed Term | Onsite (initial 6 months), then Hybrid Position Summary The Material Planner will manage and optimize Inventory Control (IC) and Inventory Management (IM) processes. Responsibilities include supporting demand plans, production strategies, and integrating new products/businesses. This role ensures process integrity, performance metrics, and system/data accuracy. General Responsibilities Adhere to site policies, cGMP/GLP, and EHS regulations. Ensure audit readiness and documentation compliance. Maintain safety and housekeeping standards. Execute tasks in line with Right First Time principles. Resolve or escalate issues appropriately. Demonstrate Pfizer competencies and values. Adhere to department metrics. Provide system and product support as subject matter expert. Identify and drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives. Participate in decision-making with stakeholders. Support introduction of new products. Report directly to the Department Manager. Specific Responsibilities Customer Service Management Support customer order commitments and communicate changes promptly. Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure product availability and manage inventories. Handle ISS and SO market orders; manage open order reports. Act as escalation point for supply issues. Data Management Assist in creating and managing master data in PT. Handle supplier data change management. Continuous Improvement (CI) Support Collaborate with planners to identify and reduce waste. Support and track CI initiatives with CI specialists/ambassadors. S&OP and MMS Support Contribute to S&OP and Demand Planning activities. Facilitate monthly material forecast alignment among stakeholders. Establish best practices for data analysis and reporting. Provide performance metrics on FG/RM forecasts for key departments. Track accuracy, data integrity, and material planning performance. Inventory Control Analyze forecast vs. actual demand to identify trends. Alert manufacturing/scheduling teams of demand or capacity shifts. Support Pack PAR changes and minimize financial exposure. Assist with SRM, MRB, ZDI process, and change control management. Optimize inventory to reduce financial risks. PPGs & cGMP Maintain plant PPGs and ensure compliance. Project Management Lead and contribute to improvement projects and initiatives. Participate in NPI, transfers, divestments, and obsolescence projects. Qualifications Education: Preferred: Third-level qualification in Purchasing, Materials Management, Business, or Science. Exceptions possible with relevant experience and demonstrated capabilities. Experience: Minimum 2 years in Manufacturing Planning, Supply Chain, or Logistics. Strong attention to detail and documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Clear communicator with a solution-oriented mindset. Strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
