We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Part-time Stores Person to join our team in Heat Merchants in Waterford.
You will be responsible for managing the stores area of the branch, including unloading deliveries, putting stock away, and accurately updating paperwork and system records.
The role also involves maintaining high standards of customer care and housekeeping throughout the stores area, as well as assisting on the Trade Counter as and when required.

Job Specification
The Stores Person will support the efficient running of the branch by delivering excellent customer service and ensuring effective management of stock and store operations.
Unloading deliveries and accurately placing stock in its designated locations.
Booking in stock on the ERP system, reporting damages promptly, and arranging returns to the Central Warehouse when required.
Understanding customer needs and expectations to ensure a positive experience.
Monitoring customer orders and deliveries, providing timely updates to customers.
Engaging with and assisting Trade Customers at the counter as required.
Taking ownership of resolving order or delivery issues in a timely and professional manner.
Supporting sales enquiries when needed and supporting van deliveries from time to time.
Participating in stock takes as required.
Adhering to all Health & Safety practices and following Company policies and procedures.
Carrying out any additional duties reasonably requested by Management.

Experience working in a stores or warehouse environment within a customer-focused setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic and innovative approach to work
Hold a current forklift licence
ERP system/warehouse management system experience

Manual handling tasks must be performed within individual comfort levels—no one is expected to lift anything they are not comfortable carrying.
