Behind the scenes, our fleet plays a critical role in ensuring meals arrive safely, on time, and to the highest standard - and we're now looking to grow our in-house workshop team.
The Role
As Workshop Technician, you will support the Garage / Mechanic Manager in maintaining our van fleet to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and compliance. This is a hands-on role within a busy workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical & Technical
* Carry out servicing, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on the company van fleet
* Ensure vehicles are maintained in line with manufacturer, legal, and company requirements
* Complete preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and downtime
* Identify defects and take appropriate corrective action
Workshop Support
* Follow workshop procedures and safe working practices at all times
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
* Use tools and equipment correctly and report any defects
Compliance & Records
* Accurately complete maintenance and job records
* Comply with Health & Safety, RSA, and environmental procedures
Teamwork & Development
* Work under the direction of the Garage / Mechanic Manager
* Participate in training and ongoing skills development
* Support efficient and professional workshop operations
About You
* Previous mechanical experience in a workshop or fleet environment
* Relevant motor vehicle qualification
* Ability to follow procedures and work to deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and a safety-focused mindset
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
* Full European driving licence (essential)
