Matrix Recruitment is seeking candidates for an Engineering Manager role on behalf of our client, Engineering, in County Laois.
You will be in a leadership position overseeing the engineering function across multiple civil and infrastructure projects ensuring quality, safety, and technical excellence from design through delivery.
Your New Role Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring high technical and safety standards across projects.
Provide mentoring and guidance to site and project engineers.
Oversee designs, temporary works, and QA processes in compliance with Irish regulations.
Coordinate with consultants, local authorities, and site teams to resolve technical challenges and support delivery.
What You Need: Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI) or working towards.
7+ years experience in civil infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, groundworks, etc.).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of Irish standards, Public Works, and NEC contracts.
Proficient in AutoCAD, surveying instruments, and planning tools.
