Job Overview:
The Grants & Project Accountant will play a critical role in monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of renewable energy and green transition grant funded projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily general ledger operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
* Manage the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and annual budgets, ensuring they align with organisational goals and financial strategies.
* Support the team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close processes, and compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.
* Ensure the integrity of financial data, providing support for audit processes as required.
* Responsible for managing all aspects of grant administration, including tracking grants, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial and grant specific guidelines.
Requirements:
* Professional accountancy qualification is essential.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in project accounting, grant finance, or a related finance role, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
* Strong knowledge of project-based accounting principles and grant compliance requirements.
* Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Oracle and Oracle BI, along with Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
* Advanced Excel skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
