About The Role And The Team
The Accounting Team in Dublin, Ireland, is part of eBay’s global Shared Services operations. Our team of motivated accountants is committed to achieving the highest quality of compliance in our daily activities. We are looking for a Americas Indirect Tax Compliance (ITC) Accounting Supervisor to support our team’s growing responsibilities.
What You Will Accomplish
Provide support to the Americas ITC group for Americas sales tax compliance and accounting regarding eBay and its affiliates. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and reporting standards.
Coordinate with both internal and external teams in the preparation and review of transaction level working papers for statutory filings.
Provide support and oversight for compliance-related activities for select Canadian, and Central and South American regions, ensuring local adherence to indirect tax requirements.
Monthly close process as well as externally facing statutory reporting activities.
Prepare reconciliations of applicable G/L accounts and ensure integrity of financial statements at a transaction level.
Supervising compliance related activities performed by various third-party support teams.
Demonstrate a proven track record to manage projects, operational improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree required, CPA/JD a plus.
Strong technical accounting background.
At least five years’ general ledger accounting and experience in managing indirect tax obligations is required.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Experience driving process improvements and/or operational efficiencies. Experience in automation technologies is preferred.
Strong organizational abilities.
Great teammate and ability to work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
SAP Financial System experience, or other ERP.
Self-motivated, engaged by a fast-paced environment and handling challenges and tight deadlines with ease.
