Purpose:

Provide outreach and support to the Travelling community and their families/significant others impacted by addiction in North Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
">
1. Structured assessment, key working and case management support with Travellers living in the North Dublin area with problematic substance use.
2. Provision of long- and short-term key working and case management for client(s) as appropriate.
3. Establish formal links with external services as appropriate and build relationships with them to assist in networking, inter-agency referral and information sharing and make appropriate referrals.
4. One-to-one support for clients and their families, consulting with them and enabling them towards positive career plans.
5. Support to family members affected by someone else's addictions.
6. Support and mentorship to peer support workers/recovery coaches in line with the project aims.
7. Ensuring that all relevant documentation, filing, statistics, and paperwork are in line with the aims and standards of the project.
8. Advocate and negotiate on behalf of the client for the delivery of services.
9. Maintain professional and personal boundaries.
10. Participate fully in team meetings, supervision, client case reviews and be open to reasonable requests from the manager in order to ensure effective working relationships.
11. Comply with all health and safety regulations and standard operating procedures relating to fire procedures, maintenance, critical incidents, staff safety, etc. to ensure the effective safety and well-being of all clients and staff.
12. Participate in relevant training and development courses as agreed with the Line Manager.
13. Work within the policies of Coolmine Therapeutic Community in order to ensure a consistent delivery of service, quality standards and best practice at all times.
14. Undertake other duties as and when requested by the Team Leader.
