The Project Engineer will be a highly skilled and motivated person, responsible for leading the engineering aspects of a transformative new project, involving innovative materials, and cutting edge production equipment, which will be separate to Freefoam's current operations.
The project will involve the development of a new manufacturing centre, separate to the Freefoam facility at Centre Park Road, including the installation of primary equipment and the establishment of essential supporting infrastructure leading to successful production startup.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in materials engineering, equipment installation and infrastructure development, with strong project management capabilities.
Role Responsibilities:
Research and oversee the design, planning, and installation of primary manufacturing equipment
Coordinate infrastructure development to support the new manufacturing centre
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met on schedule
Implement and monitor quality control standards and safety protocols
Provide technical solutions and support throughout the project lifecycle
Provide comprehensive administrative support, including but not limited to document management, scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping, grant applications and submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and deadlines
Support the development of long term capital plans, and contribute to strategic investment decisions
Ensure all projects are executed in accordance with company policies and with industry best practice
The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering (Materials, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
Relevant experience in managing manufacturing equipment installations and infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of innovative materials and manufacturing technologies
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent project management skills with proficiency in tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar
Eligibility to live and work in the EU, fluent English, both written and spoken
Confident, enthusiastic individual with a "can do" attitude
