As part of their Ireland IT Technology hub expansion, we are looking to recruit an AWS Cloud Infrastructure engineer, focused on Infrastructure-as-a-service when certain DC services over to an AWS cloud deployment environment.
Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure (ability to review and decide on what certain services can be deployed on AWS via existing server environment).
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
* Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud environments.
* Automate cloud deployment and configuration processes.
* Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
* Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience working with AWS Cloud Service.
* Experience working between On-Prem / Virtual and Cloud infrastructure from an AWS perspective (like migration or switching services from DC / on-prem to AWS).
* Experience working EC2, S3, EBS, IAM, cloudformation as examples.
* Bonus experience if working with AWS Aurora or RDS.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
* Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
