ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are delighted to be acting exclusively on behalf of our client, a leading global B2B technology company operating in the travel industry.
This is a 1-year contract position sitting within the Group Finance function reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.
It will operate on a hybrid basis, 2 days weekly in office.
This role is ideally suited to someone with hands on experience in finance operations who is looking to work across finance related projects & initiatives.
This person will lead and deliver critical finance projects across a number of verticals including:
Partner integrations & new product development
Acquisitions integrations & strategic corporate-level initiatives
Driving process improvement & optimisation across Finance
Main responsibilities will include:
The role will span across a number of key verticals within Group Finance including:
Act as the main finance point of contact for new partner integrations and product launches, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure smooth delivery and accuracy in reporting and data post go live.
Identify and resolve process inefficiencies in current financial operations to optimise outcomes.
Review and interpret contracts for new and renewing partners, ensuring financial commitments are accurate and reflected in systems.
Coordinate with Go Live, Product, and Technology teams to ensure accurate financial setup and reporting.
Oversee training and support for finance team members involved in new product or partner operations.
Lead optimisation of ERP system (e.g.
Microsoft Dynamics 365), including integration of AI tools like Power BI and Co-Pilot.
Roll out and standardise data tools (e.g.
ThoughtSpot) to improve reporting consistency across business units.
Drive finance automation initiatives across invoicing, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
Contribute to the development of a Finance AI strategy to ensure digital evolution of the finance function.
Support strategic growth initiatives, including onboarding acquisitions and integrating finance systems, tools, and processes.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
Knowledge and Experience:
Qualified Accountant with +7 years post-qualification experience
Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, project delivery, or financial operations/reporting roles.
Experience implementing or optimising ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365) and embedding AI and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Co-Pilot) across finance.
Experience in data-driven insight generation, including leveraging tools such as ThoughtSpot and aligning multiple reporting sources, at all times ensuring accuracy of financial models.
Demonstrated ability to assess and improve finance tooling such as T&E platforms or invoice automation solutions.
Excellent project planning and delivery skills – able to assess existing tools/processes, define requirements, and manage execution.
Commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex data into clear business insight.
A self-starter, able to lead workstreams independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
High attention to detail, able to identify an issue and investigate and design a solution, driving that solution through to implementation.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, capable of working across all levels of a business.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and nurture relationships across the business at all levels.
