Our client, a major multinational player and leading employer in the region, within the engineering components sector, is now seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and experienced Head of Key Accounts to join their expanding team.This is a senior commercial role requiring strong industry awareness, so if you possess exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions, then apply today!!!The Role:Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Key Accounts will lead the strategy, growth, and development of our client’s most important B2B client relationships across Ireland. Operating within the construction, engineering & automotive sectors, this role is responsible for maximizing revenue, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring long-term partnerships with major national and regional clients.While the role has a nationwide remit, applicants should reside in the South/Southwest region, as regular attendance at our client’s head office in Limerick is required.Key Responsibilities to include:Strategic LeadershipDevelop and execute a nationwide Key Account strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives across various industry sectorsIdentify new commercial opportunities within existing accounts, including product diversification and service expansionProvide strategic guidance to the leadership team on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity within IrelandClient Relationship ManagementAct as the senior point of contact for high-value B2B clients, building trusted and long-term relationshipsConduct regular on-site visits nationwide to understand client operations, project pipelines, and technical requirementsOversee contract negotiations, framework agreements, pricing strategies, and service-level commitmentsEnsure timely resolution of issues and act as an escalation point for complex customer needsBusiness Growth & PerformanceDevelop detailed account plans and revenue forecasts for all key accounts using CRM softwareWork closely with the Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure coordinated delivery of customer solutionsMonitor account performance, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions where necessaryDrive growth through cross-selling and up-selling across our product and service portfolioIndustry & Sector AlignmentMaintain up-to-date knowledge of various industry sectors including Government and semi-state institutionsMonitor upcoming infrastructure projects, tender opportunities, and regulatory changes influencing customer demandLead and develop the Key Account Management team, ensuring capability, performance, and commercial acumenSet clear KPIs for revenue growth, customer satisfaction, contract renewal, and strategic expansionSupport the team with coaching, training, and development plans to ensure continuous improvement.Skills & Experience that we need:5+ years’ experience in senior account management, commercial leadership, or B2B sales within relevant industriesBachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree is an advantageDemonstrated success managing national or enterprise-level accountsStrong understanding of Irish industrial markets, project cycles, and supply chainsProven negotiation skills and experience managing large contracts and multi-year agreementsExcellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skillsFull driving licence and willingness to travel nationwideCommercial and strategic acumenIndustry knowledgeLeadership & team developmentCustomer-centric mindsetRelationship building & stakeholder managementProblem-solving and solution designComputer literate including working with digitally based ordering systems, Microsoft office, CRM softwareThe Offer:This a permanent full-time role, with negotiable salary that will depend on the experience and qualifications of the candidate but is expected to be in region of €60K - €65K per annum, plus OTE and an excellent benefits package to include company car, health, and pension contribution.While this role has a nationwide remit the successful candidate must be based locally in the Limerick area or a short commute, to attend and to participate in regular management meetings in the head office in Limerick.How to Apply:If you are interested in applying or want to know more about this role please contact,Orlaigh FitzGerald-Quinn in Cpl Limerick on 085 801 7135 or email your CV to orlaigh.quinn@cpl.ie.For a full list of our open jobs, please have a look at cpl.com.
