We are looking for a data oriented and commercial finance manager to join our growing business in Ireland and lead the finance team. This role will report directly into the Group CFO of Dals (sister company), sit on the Translit management team and play a pivotal part in the continued growth of the company.
Responsibilities
* Full ownership of the month end process
* Line manage an assistant accountant responsible for finance admin tasks such as bank rec, AP, AR, VAT return etc.
* Prepare monthly management accounts together with relevant variance and ad hoc analysis
* Ensure balance sheet is fully reconciled
* Implement financial governance and controls to instil strong control environment.
* Contribute to the management team of Translit with strong commercial and strategic acumen supported by data first thinking
* Support the business with continuous improvement initiatives on controls and procedures.
* Support the Group CFO with trend analysis and financial forecasting for Ireland
* Balance local business needs and management with group reporting requirements
Person Specification
* Excellent data analysis skills. Advanced excel knowledge is a strict requirement and power BI knowledge would be advantageous
* Enjoys working with systems and correlating with finance outputs
* Agility required in a dynamic and fast changing environment.
* Experience with QuickBooks would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills and comfortable liaising with a blended team of accountants and transactional staff based in Ireland and internationally.
* Deadline driven with excellent time management and attention to detail.
* A positive attitude to work, with good problem solving skills is essential to succeed in this role.
