Job Description
Our client, Conor Phelan Construction Limited, based in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, is currently seeking Carpenters for an immediate start at their facility in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of previous Carpentry/Joinery experience required.
Carpentry/Joinery Certification/Apprenticeship/Trade preferred but not essential.
No minimum academic requirements.
Further training will be provided on‑the‑job as required.
Responsibilities
Cut, shape, assemble, erect, maintain, and repair various types of wood structures and fittings.
Cut, shape, and assemble wooden elements for construction of buildings and wooden installations.
Make, alter, and repair structural and other woodwork at a workbench or on site.
Construct, erect, and install framed wooden structures on site.
Fit, assemble, and alter internal and external fixtures of buildings such as walls, doors, door & window frames, facings, and panelling.
Build and install bespoke wood solutions for clients in various sectors.
Use knowledge of types of wood, wood cuts, and woodworking tools.
Use power tools, measurement instruments, and sawing equipment.
Apply wood finishes, clean wood surfaces, and create smooth wood surfaces.
Create wood joints, identify wood warp, and interpret 2D and 3D plans.
Follow health & safety procedures in construction, install wood elements, and joinwood elements.
Install construction profiles, wood hardware, and use safety equipment.
Maintain at least 3 years of relevant experience as a Carpenter/Joiner.
Annual Remuneration: €46,644.00; Pay rate €23.00 per hour.Work Location: Conor Phelan Construction Limited, 4A Shandon Street, Dungarvan, Co Waterford, X35 NR40.Number of hours work each week: 39
