Job Title: Financial Operations Manager
About the Role:
We are excited to be partnering with a leading hospitality establishment in Dublin, Ireland. As the Financial Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial functions of the hotel.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring the financial health and compliance of the hotel.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily financial operations and ensure compliance with hotel policies and accounting principles.
* Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
* Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure realistic and achievable budgets.
* Prepare financial forecasts and analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
* Generate comprehensive financial reports and presentations for the General Manager and ownership.
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
* Conduct periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure a collaborative approach to financial management.
* Assist the General Manager in developing long-term financial strategies and business plans.
* Provide financial insights and support for business development initiatives and capital projects.
Requirements & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
* Strong understanding of hotel accounting principles and practices beneficial.
* Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a finance team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
