Based in Leopardstown and with a secondary office in Ballymount, we lead the Irish vehicle leasing and fleet management market, working with partners across the automotive industry to satisfy the fleet and mobility needs of our customers. We now have more than 100 people in Dublin focused on the Irish market, part of a multinational workforce of more than 15000 globally.
About the role
Asset risk (Residual Value, Repair Maintenance, Tyres) is one of the main risks within Ayvens. Asset risk management is key to achieve the strategic and financial objectives of the company within the limits of Ayven’s risk appetite by identifying, assessing and responding to risks related to asset management, in particular through Asset (risk) management reporting & steering, necessary to better understand risks, optimize decision-making, resources allocation and profitability, while managing volatility. Manage and maintain the internal asset risk database in line with central and local asset risk policies. Ensuring vehicle data is updated in line with internal policies through internal systems. Responsible for setting RV & RMT for all new and existing vehicles in line with local policy. Becoming a subject matter expert through monitoring and analysis of financial and operational performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Serve as a key liaison between Asset risk and other departments, providing expertise and support to drive business results.
Key Accountabilities
* Subject matter expert within the leasing mobility market
* Become an Ayvens EV ambassador and subject matter expert within mobility solutions
* Manage and maintain accurate vehicle database within internal systems, ensure sufficient make, model, segment popularity mix available
* Recalculations – assessment and realignment of live fleet contracts
* Extensions analysis and approvals in line with local policies
* RMT budgets, update, monitor existing and new maintenance and tyre budget data to ensure consistency within categories and accuracy of data, and reporting on errors and anomalies to ensure our risk is minimized in line with local policy
* Residual value reviews, prepare, present, record agreed changes from residual value & RMT reviews, implement agreed changes in internal systems in line with local policies
* Operations Reviews – Prepare, present risk management RV, RMT and market specific updates
* Quotation adjustments – Implement quotation adjustments and maintain an accurate record file of approved quotation adjustment approvals
* Departmental training on asset risk for new and existing employees.
* Ensure day to day compliance with Ayvens policies and best practices.
* Assistance with technical queries, participating on tenders with the commercial department.
* To undertake any reasonable role related duties which may be required from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* 5 years experience within the automotive finance leasing industry preferred
* Experience in assessing residual values from a risk perspective with the ability to consider commercial requirements when deciding proposals
* Ability to analyse current and future used vehicle market
* Experience in stakeholder management
* Strong understanding of business control principles, internal controls, and risk management frameworks
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to provide actionable insights
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders
* Knowledge of the automotive industry and car leasing principles
* Relevant work experience in a reporting, data and/or risk analysis or controlling role ideally in automotive industry or finance
* Must have strong attention to detail and display a high level of accuracy
* Computer literate with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
* Good team player – must enjoy being part of, and actively participating in a team environment
* Ability to think and take initiative, identify & implement efficiencies and the confidence to make decisions when required
