The current Head of Finance is due to retire after almost 40 years of dedicated service, and our client is now seeking an accomplished finance leader to take full responsibility for finance and operations.This is asenior, full-time, permanent, and office-based role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and acting as a key strategic partner in driving continued growth and profitability.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities.Prepare monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and performance analyses.Oversee cashflow, supplier payments, debtor management, and payroll for multi-jurisdictional teams.Ensure compliance with all tax, EU, and statutory reporting obligations.Manage year-end processes, audits, and financial statements for group entities.Monitor cost control, margins, and profitability across all divisions.Provide strategic and commercial insight to senior management.Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering continuous improvement.Manage banking, insurance, and foreign currency exposures.Oversee stock, purchasing, and forecasting activities to support operational efficiency.RequirementsA qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience in financial control and business partnering.At least 10 years' experience in manufacturing, distribution, or related sectors.Strong leadership and team development experience.Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels.High commercial awareness and strategic insight.Experience with SAP Business One and Enterpryze would be a distinct advantage.PackageSalary up to €140,000, depending on experience plus bonus & benefitsContactRachel Tubridy on or email PeopleSource is a finance and accounting recruitment firm.This role will not qualify for sponsorship; therefore all applicants must have the right to work in Ireland.Due to the level of responses for recently posted roles, similar is expected for this advert also, only successful applicants will be contacted.
