Purpose of the Position/ Role Summary:
The role is responsible for Coseicure sales development within a specified territory. Generating awareness of Bimeda bolus brand at consumer level, by ensuring Key retail partners are all engaged with and have the confidence and ability to detail and sell our Coseicure bolus successfully. Gain sales of specific brands as guided by the head of sales. Focus on spring 2026 will be Coseicure cattle fertility bolus, with in store (& some on farm) product detailing and order generation through the vet, Co Op and merchant channel in Leinster & Munster primarily.
Full training will be provided to include:
* Bolus manufacturing facility visit in Denbigh, North Wales to see how the product is manufactured- this is key as it is a unique process and the only soluble glass nutritional bolus in the world. Visit for more info
* Administer bolus to cattle under supervision of company vet/nutritionist on farm in UK/IRE
* Technical training with vet on macro and micro trace elements and analyses
* Role playing on how to conduct sales/farm calls, deliver technical sales pitch, and generate sales
* Dual calling training with sales team members to retail outlets to learn the sales call process
* Commercial sales training from Sales Manager
* Supporting materials provided such as bolus toolkit on a tablet, sample product and marketing leaflets
Fantastic opportunity for an ambitious self-starter with a keen willingness to learn and experience first hand commercial sales in a technical veterinary arena, while working with one of Ireland's leading veterinary companies.
One 8-10 week positions available. Need to be able to work in March and April. Ideally starting mid Feb to allow for training. Role ideal for Professional Work Experience (PWE) student or part time farmer. National hourly wage, plus expenses on offer.
Key Role Specific Requirements:
* Builds strong and enduring business partnerships with the key influencer farmers & Retailers in Ireland
* Own transport or access to for the duration of the work placement
* Achieve all targets set – Calls per day, face to face meetings held, & sales numbers
* Ensure call reports are accurate and up to date according to the guidance set by Head of Sales
* Timely execution of each order from the farmer to the retailer plus clarity on any bonus items due
* Synchronizing with the marketing team to ensure the messages are high impact & Point of sale (POS) material are dispensed throughout the territory.
* Able to present market trends to the sales team at a sales meeting
* Liaise on a regular basis with team members to identify local market needs to seize opportunities
* Collaborate with all retailers to maximise sales opportunities with the end user.
* Avoid conflict between customers by remaining neutral in the eye of the consumer.
* Representing Bimeda in a competent, professional & friendly manner
* Excel skills and route planning ability
* Make use of technical support available to aid bolus sales and proper nutritional advice
* Attend events where farmers are present to showcase the bolus such as marts, open day events, etc
Key Performance Indicators:
* Achieve weekly targets as set by the Head of sales including call rates, and conversion (to sales) rates.
* Accurate and timely entries on the weekly call report database
* Improve the importance of Bimeda to the Key Accounts (KA's) by adding value to their business, measured by KA feedback and bolus sales generation.
* Follow up and conversion of interest into sales with end users in the territory
Other Requirements:
Essential
* Practical agricultural knowledge and understanding of the dairy industry
* Breeding principles and fertility in dairy and beef farms
* Holder of full clean drivers' license and own transport
* Having strong communication skills and ability to learn on the go
* Agricultural qualification preferred, student on work experience from 3rd level agricultural course or equivalent
