Job Title: Project Cost Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled project cost manager to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strong, innovative and honest project management solutions on construction and civil engineering projects across Ireland, UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pre-contract services: Provide cost control advice to design teams and clients
* Document preparation: Assist with pre-contract document preparation
* Post-contract services: Deliver all post-contract functions including interim recommendations, cost reporting, client meetings and final account reconciliations
* Training and development: Train and develop assistant and junior quantity surveyors as part of a collaborative team structure
* Estimating and cost planning: Report directly to clients on estimating and cost planning activities
* Documentation: Prepare bills of quantities, build soft and cubit documentation
* Reporting: Compile contract documentation and prepare regular cost reports
* Financial management: Prepare monthly valuations and agree final accounts with clients
* Contractual claims: Review and resolve contractual claims in a timely and effective manner
* Collaboration: Attend meetings with clients and design team members to ensure seamless communication
Requirements:
* A degree qualified quantity surveyor with 3+ years experience working in consultancy
* A commercially aware individual with ambition to progress within the organisation
* The ability to manage budgets effectively to ensure commercial success of projects
