Day-to-day running of the Society Maintain and upkeep the herdbook Advertising & marketing the breed Implement the Societys Breeding Programme and Rules Manage the office & staff Handle and advise breeders with queries via phone and email. Organise shows & sales Report writing of society events and summer shows Attending meetings & taking notes/minutes. Work on the website & social media. Compile & distribute the Breed Journal Liaising with industry partners i.e. ICBF, Pedigree cattle breeders council. Co-ordinating & promoting the Certified Hereford Scheme Organising the youth programme and youth activities. Candidate Profile: Degree in Agriculture or strong relevant experience is a prerequisite for this role Strong understanding of Pedigree Cattle Breeding, the agricultural sector, Genetics and the ICBF Eurostar Indexes Excellent communication and people skills Previous relevant marketing/PR skills Be willing to travel and show flexibility surrounding events Ability to work off own initiative Proficient in Microsoft Office Terms of employment: Skills: General Management agriculture Sales
