Role
A Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) position is available in South Coast Logistics, Ireland’s leading Hazardous Transport & Logistics company. The role will allow the candidate to develop their Health & Safety knowledge in the following transport and logistics sectors:
ADR – Road Tankers & Tank Containers
Container depot handling
Petroleum Industry – Aviation & Retail
Waste Management
Emergency Response
Chemical Handling
The candidate must have experience with the relevant Health, Safety & Welfare Act 2005 & 2007 General Application Regulations and experience with relevant quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000) would be desired.
An understanding at any level of the following will have a distinct advantage: Hazardous Chemical awareness, ADR, COMAH (SEVESO), Auditing & TPED.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting site inspections
Assisting in risk assessments
Supporting management in compliance efforts
Help maintain performance reports
Assist with accident investigations
Ensure adherence to SHEQ standards
Participate in audits
Monitor PPE usage
Track company’s CO2 footprint
Provide support in and deliver training initiatives
Involvement in emergency response exercises
To report on any quality or safety risks, concerns, or opportunities for improvement to their supervisor or management
Coordinate the company-wide Health & Safety Committees
Any other ad-hoc duties, as required by Management

Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a certificate, diploma or degree in the field of Health and Safety or 5+ years relevant experience in the field
The successful candidate will have experience in quality systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO22000 would be an advantage
The successful candidate will have previous experience in auditing
The successful candidate will have fluency in written and spoken English
Emergency/Incident response experience an advantage
Previous experience in the Transport & Logistics industry a distinct advantage
