Overview
Become a part of EY’s Financial Services (FS) team as a Senior Consultant and help shape the future of finance, data and risk management. With 2+ years of experience in Finance, Data or Risk, you’ll be part of a rapidly growing team tackling complex challenges and driving transformation on a global scale.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Work as part of client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, delivering projects with a strong understanding of core business and finance operations.
Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving ability, including logical reasoning and the ability to untangle complex issues to improve processes and workflows.
Deliver high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
Apply project management fundamentals, including RAID logs, status reports, and meeting minutes.
Collaborate with clients to identify business goals, processes, and challenges, translating insights into functional requirements.
Facilitate workshops and interviews to collect and document business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
Support EY's service offerings and contribute to a diverse range of deliveries.
Innovate and develop creative solutions to client challenges, enhancing strategic and operational outcomes.
Present complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing, to stakeholders.
Maintain strong organizational skills and manage multiple tasks, delivering high-quality results on schedule.
Cultivate and maintain trusted client relationships, representing EY with professionalism and credibility.
Stay updated on trends in the Financial Services industry to foster innovation and contribute to Finance Competency, including thought leadership and training.
Work effectively within EY engagement teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a collaborative environment.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong academic record with a degree in finance, data, risk, business, or related area.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience delivering change in a finance function, from consulting or industry, with financial services, insurance, data transformation, or financial risk management exposure preferred.
Exceptional analytical and communication skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Proven experience developing structured presentations (PowerPoint) and analytics in Excel.
Understanding of finance and accounting technology landscapes and trends in Financial Services.
Experience across full project lifecycle from concept to implementation.
Professionalism, credibility, resilience, and ability to influence clients and stakeholders.
Collaborative, self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of learning new knowledge quickly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders.
Ideally, You Will Also Have
Previous consulting experience or relevant industry experience in a financial institution.
Knowledge of Basel IV, BCBS 239, Solvency II is advantageous.
Project Management certification or accounting qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) are advantageous.
Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
Project Management and/or Agile certification.
